the yesterday effects polychorus is a copy of the original, non-reissued echoflanger circuit (the one you've heard on your favorite records). four modes and four knobs rule over the sound of polychorus. modes: filter matrix, flange, chorus, and double track. knobs: feedback, rate, width, and tune. the yesterday effects polychorus uses mn3007, a more readily available bbd chip capable of the same performance as the original sad1024 bbd chips. polychorus has a habit of creating generation defining, time-withstanding sounds. it just may choose you as its next channel to move through.
for many years, perhaps even decades, the only amps that had true, genuine built-in vibrato were magnatone amps. yesterday effects celebrates magnatone vibrato with the new pitch bender, an electronic vibrato circuit. pitch bender is derived from the magnatone vibrato circuit, but transistors are used over tubes. two controls rule over the sound of pitch bender: intensity and rate. experience electronically true depth and dimension of vibrato with the pitch bender by yesterday effects.
the altogether reverb by yesterday effects was created to help you achieve classic shoegaze/ambient sounds found on albums like slowdive's souvlaki. the sound is a lush, wide tone sweeping reverb decorated with hints of lightly swaying modulation. altogether features volume boost designed to bring out the best light grit textures from your amp, and a 100% wet toggle that takes the circuit into ethereal territory. altogether is sure to take your board to dreamier heights.
yesterday effects is now offering the filter section of the MS-20 in a stand alone, space saving package. four controls rule over the sound of the ms-twenty filter: volume, resonance, frequency, and a toggle to switch between high pass or low pass filtering. this is a recreation of the later ota based filter section; ota based filters are often characterized as having a smoother sound with more controllable distortion and lower overall noise. We also made the frequency knob controllable via expression.
recurring is based on the vox repeat percussion, originally created by thomas organ to simulate the rapid strumming of stringed instruments. yesterday effects has taken measures to improve the circuit while still maintaining its original essence. the lfo section creates a unique reverse sawtooth waveform, resulting in an abrupt full-signal pulse followed by linear decay. four controls rule over the sound of recurring: depth, rate, a hi/lo tone switch, and a latching footswitch that allows the user to extend the range of rate. the rate control is compatible with expression pedals and lfo-based expression controllers.
haha meow is a clone of the roland funny cat, perhaps the most unique envelope filter / fuzz combination to ever hit the market. two circuits create the sound of haha meow, a harmonic mover and a soft distortion sustainer. while keeping the original circuit fully intact, yesterday effects added a master switch to turn both effects on/off with the option to bypass the circuit’s buffer. three controls rule over the haha meow: volume for the soft distortion sustainer, and a three way rotary blend knob for the harmonic mover.
the roland jazz chorus 120 is one of the most celebrated and highly regarded solid state amplifiers ever created, known for its shimmering clean tone. defiant jazz is a value for value, component for component recreation of the jc's clean channel (sans bright switch). four controls rule over the sound of defiant jazz: volume, treble, mid, and bass. an internal charge pump takes 9v from a standard center negative power supply and steps it up to 36v.
introduced in 1979, the slow gear is a filter designed to be an automatic volume/swell pedal. the slow gear circuit cuts your signal’s attack to a threshold set by the ‘sensitivity’ knob, the sound then increases in volume at a speed set by the ‘attack’ knob. yesterday effects has furthered the function of the slow gear by adding a three position toggle that sets three different modes of attack length. we have also sourced toshiba ta7504p ic chips- the same chip the originals use!
Celebrated for its treble frequency boost, distortion/fuzz characteristics, and the rich overtones that can be achieved especially at high volume. yesterday's rangemaster includes a 3-way toggle switch between the famous original circuit and two additional points of EQ (low and mid). at the heart of yesterday's rangemaster is a vintage nos soviet germanium transistor which has been biased to match spec on original rangemaster units.
introduced in 1973, the roland ad-50 double beat is a dynamic, wide range fuzz and a wah in one enclosure (a fuzz-wah, if you will). yesterday effects is offering a recreation of the double beat fuzz in a smaller, pedalboard friendly enclosure. the fuzz portion of the double beat resembles a fuzz face, but the double beat has an extra transistor stage for more gain and a "waveform" selector rotary that acts more like a tone bias selector. by filtering the signal in different ways, it can be transformed into a square wave, sine wave, or triangle wave.

send us a message here, or email us at [email protected]. the timeline for designing and developing our pedals is based on the project's complexity and scope. building a batch of our signature effects typically take 2-4 weeks, while more complex builds with custom features may take 4-8 weeks or longer. we'll provide a detailed timeline after assessing your specific needs and requirements.
we sure do! message us with some info for a quote.
yesterday effects makes custom pedals to fit the needs of your sound. send us a message and we'll get back to you on a quote and the timeline for the build. please note that custom builds take time, as we do the entire process in-house. you can find many of our custom builds on our instagram.
we really like the curiosity gap that takes place between the viewer and the pedal. it’s an invitation to investigate further and, in some cases, to create a relationship to the function of the knob that’s separate from words.
we have an exclusive collaboration with speak soft studio, who paints one-of-one designs on our enclosures. you can send us a message if you're interested in adding their design onto your order. we also do collaborations with our suppliers, and will work together to create an exclusive pedal of your dreams for your retail shop. if you have any other thoughts or ideas on collaborating, message us.
visit our support page and we'll do the best we can to solve your issue.
we love recycling! if you have any old analog gear (preferably in non-working condition, we don't love to murder), send us a message and we'll happily take it off your hands and recycle the components into new sound.
